Management Undergraduate Society
The 1987-88 version of the Management Undergraduate Society (MUS) was composed entirely of first time holders of MUS positions. Although a little wet behind the ears at the start, this year’s MUS jumped right in and made up for lack of experience with lots of enthusiasm and the desire to try out new ideas.
The goals of this year’s MUS were threefold. First, to improve communication links to the students. Second, to increase the visibility of the MUS and Management students on campus. Third, to find ways in which the organization of the MUS and all of its activities could be strengthened. Of course, these goals were all past of the general priority of maintaining all the student activities that have been built up in Management over the years.
The MUS also sought to give increasing support to charitable institutions. Management got involved in the Centraide and Unicef fund-raisers, helped out at the À¦°óSMÉçÇø Blood Drive, helped to raise $1000 for Quebec Disabled Children, and gave $11,000 for cancer research at our annual Cancer Auction.
All of these activities required time and effort from many dedicated individuals. A big vote of thanks must go out to everyone who worked on organizing committees, clubs, publication, and on the MUS Council itself. You are the people who make Management such a great place to get involved, make friends, and forget about the grind of classes.
In closing, we hope that the MUS has played an important role in Management students’ education here at À¦°óSMÉçÇø. For our fellow graduates, always remember the good times that you had here and we sincerely wish you the best of luck in all of your future endeavors.
