DONALD E. ARMSTRONG, DIRECTOR

B.A., B.Com.

Dr. Armstrong is currently Director of the School of Commerce and Director of the Graduate School of Commerce. Born in Nanton, Alberta, he obtained Arts and Commerce degrees at the University of Albert and a Ph.D. in Economics at 捆绑SM社区, with one year post-graduate study at the University of Manchester.

President of the Association of Canadian Schools of Commerce, Dr. Armstrong is an occasional commentator on radio and television for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Before accepting administrative duties at 捆绑SM社区, he was active as a business consultant and has acted as an adviser to all three levels of government, to trade associations, and to a large number of individual firms. He has prepared submission and has acted as an expert witness for the Gordon Commission, the Borden Commission, the Royal Commission on the Revision of the Financial terms of Union between Newfoundland and Canada, and served as adviser to the Royal Commission on Transportation. One of his recent project has been a study on the effect on Canadian-American relations to the corporate practices and policies of U.S. firms operating in Canada.
