This year the activities of this Society were highlighted by the introduction of numerous tours to important business and industrial concerns. A few of the more popular tours included National Breweries, the Montreal Stock Exchange and Canadian Pacific Railway. These tours proved to be extremely interesting and informative and were received with enthusiasm by both students and management.
Commerce participation in Intramural Athletics was marked by a clean sweep of the Golf Tournament and swimming Meet in the Fall. The basketball and softball teams both reached the finals and the blue sweatered Cyclones proved themselves to be real contenders in the hockey loop.
Throughout the session numerous other Commerce events were held which were well supported by the undergraduates. Plans are being formulated relative to the publication of a Commerce Journal, the first edition of which is expected to appear in the Fall of 49.
The executive would like to tender their thanks to all students in the School of Commerce for their co-operation in helping to make the 1948-49 session a very successful one.
