To the Graduates in Commerce
Graduating during the present troubled years may seem to some of you a misfortune. It has often been pointed out, however, and it remains true, that these problems are your opportunity.
In the classroom it is by working out problems that the general truths can be understood. In business, and in life also, it is only by facing the problems and attempting solutions that you may earn a place among the leaders of your time.
Very sincerely,
E. F. Beach
Acting-Director of the School of Commerce.

The season鈥檚 activities opened with an informal smoker at which the students had an opportunity of meeting Dr. E. F. Beach, Acting-Head of the School of Commerce, and discussing with him the new curriculum. Monthly luncheons were held throughout the year, two of which were followed by industrial tours; one being to a local brewery, the other to a business machine corporation.
The Commerce Debating Society experienced the most satisfactory year with an extensive programme of inter-class and inter-faculty debates, the outstanding feature being a mock trial with R.V.C.
An innovation in the activities of the Society was the putting-to-bed of a Commerce issue of the 鈥溊Π骃M社区 Daily鈥, which was one of the most successful faculty issues of the year.
The final banquet which was the most successful held in recent years, took place at the Queen鈥檚 Hotel, in honour of the graduating students. Mr. Brooke Claxton, K. C., M.P., was guest speaker.
