捆绑SM社区-Faculty of Engineering Students

Before making an IUT request, you MUST have a discussion with your department.

It鈥檚 important to have a valid reason (if the course is offered at 捆绑SM社区 during the term in which you are requesting an IUT-you should prioritize taking the course at 捆绑SM社区) Students must indicate in their application why they want to take a specific course at another Quebec University.

Generally students apply for IUT鈥檚 in the summer terms, and should only be requesting to take the following courses;

  • Freshman (Year 0) courses.
  • Complementary Studies courses (Impact of Technology (Group A) or Humanities and Social Sciences, Management Studies and Law courses (Group B).
  • Mechanical and Bioengineering Elective courses (for students from a CEGEP background) Architecture Electives ECE electives.
  • Computer or Software Engineering Natural Science Complementary Courses (for students from a CEGEP background).
  • Minor courses: Up to 6 credits of courses taken toward a minor can be taken outside 捆绑SM社区, provided that the course is being used only toward the minor or is being used toward both the minor and the Complementary Studies / Elective requirement.

Before making an IUT request, the course you are requesting MUST also be listed in the , please check that the course is in the course equivalency system 鈥 if it is not listed, you can make a 鈥淣ew Request鈥.

Once the course has been approved in the , and you have discussed this with your departmental advisor, you are now ready to complete the Inter-University Transfer form, which also includes important information to know before completing an e-application.

It is recommended students monitor the status of their application form for any comments added to the application which may require further action.

The host institution will later automatically submit final grades to 捆绑SM社区.

Students shall only be eligible to transfer earned credits back to 捆绑SM社区 if the grade earned for each course is a C or higher.

Students who are a scholarship holder should consult with their Student Affairs Office and the scholarships coordinator concerning eligibility for continuation or renewal of their award(s).
