Paid Study: Understanding Social Interactions

The 捆绑SM社区 Mindfulness Research Lab is recruiting participants for a two-part paid study (compensation is $50) that will take place in-person at 捆绑SM社区. The first part of the study takes place online (maximum 1.5h time commitment), and the second at our lab in the Education Building (maximum 1.5h time commitment).聽

Promoting Social Inclusion Among University Students

Women in PhD programs reported more distress and disruptions than male counterparts early in the pandemic

Doctoral work, by its nature a journey into uncharted territory, can be an uphill, lonesome slog at the best of times.聽Throw in a global pandemic鈥檚 uncertainty and isolating lockdowns 鈥 including no access to labs, libraries or even fieldwork 鈥 and it is little wonder that doctoral students were sending out distress signals.聽Recently, a team of Quebec researchers conducted an exploratory study聽on the effects the pandemic had on doctoral students.

Walking in Nature Against Negative Feelings

In partnership with the Douglas Research Centre, Dr. Marie-Claude Geoffroy (Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology) has released an inciteful video introduction to The effects of walking in nature on negative and positive affect in adult psychiatric outpatients with major depressive disorder: A randomized-controlled study.
