Michael Nicholson

MICHAEL NICHOLSON is currently Assistant Professor of English at 捆绑SM社区 and co-chair (with Miranda Hickman) of the SSHRC-funded 鈥淧oetry Matters鈥 initiative. After receiving his Ph.D. from UCLA (2016), he spent a year as a Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Toronto's Jackman Humanities Institute (2016-17). He is currently at work on a monograph entitled "After Time: Romanticism and Anachronism." Early selections from this project, on Wordsworth's regional riddles and Clare's lyric defiance, have appeared as essays in聽ELH聽(2015) and聽Genre聽(2015); a third piece, on Byron's occasional verse and queer time, is forthcoming in聽ECTI聽(2019). His most recent research, on poetic calendars and Romantic ecology, has received fellowship support from the Huntington Library (2018-19). In 2018, he was awarded 捆绑SM社区's Louis Dudek Award for Excellence in Teaching.聽
