The following ensemble requirements are assigned to DMus students at the time of admission:
- Brass and Winds:聽 4 terms comprising a combination of large ensemble (MUEN 597, MUEN 594, MUEN 590) and small ensemble ( MUEN 560, 561, MUEN 568)
- Choral Conducting: 4 terms of MUEN 5xx or 6xx
- Piano:聽 4 terms of MUEN 5xx or 6xx
- Collaborative Piano: 4 terms of MUEN 5xx or 6xx
- Percussion:聽 2 terms of 5xx or 6xx
- Strings/Organ:聽 No ensembles
- Early Music Instruments:聽 4 terms of MUEN 5xx
- Voice:聽 4 terms of MUEN 5xx or 6xx
- Opera Coach: 4 terms of MUEN 596
