Key Academic Dates & Other Important Dates
The Key Academic Dates found below are those approved by Senate in November 2020.
- Classes begin: Wednesday, September听1 (except for Dentistry and Medicine students 鈥� please see faculty schedules)
- Fall Reading Break: Tuesday, October听12 and Wednesday, October听13听(some exceptions apply)
- Makeup Days: Thursday, October 14 and Friday, October 15 1 & 2
- Classes end: Monday, December听6
- Study Days: Saturday, December听4鈥揝unday, December听5
- Exams begin: Tuesday, December听7
- Exams end: Tuesday, December听21听(11 days, including evening exams)
Other important dates built around the Key Academic Dates include:
- Deadline to register for at least one course to avoid registration penalties: Saturday, August 14
- Deadline to cancel registration: Tuesday, August 31
- Add/Drop deadline: Tuesday, September 14
- Course or University Withdrawal with refund deadline: Tuesday, September 21
- Course or University Withdrawal WITHOUT REFUND deadline: Tuesday, October 26

Note about Make Up Days: On Thursday and Friday, October听14鈥�15, the normal Thursday & Friday schedules of course lectures, labs, and conferences will be replaced by Monday & Tuesday schedules. This means:
- Lectures/activities that would normally have occurred on Thursday Oct. 14 and Friday Oct. 15 are cancelled.
- Lectures/activities that would normally have occurred on Monday Oct. 11 will be held on Thursday Oct. 14 instead.
- Lectures/activities that would normally have occurred on Tuesday Oct. 12 will be held on Friday Oct. 15 instead.

The schedule patterns in this table follow the same convention as course listings in Minerva Class Schedule. Each pattern indicates the days on which a course is normally held 鈥� for example, a course with a MWF pattern is听held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

- Exams end: Friday, April 29 (11 days, including evening exams)
