PAID Research Opportunity in the Gibbs Lab

The Gibbs Lab is seeking participants for a PAID research opportunity for a study evaluating the associations between muscle function, physical activity, and bone strength in endurance trained men and women aged 18-35 years.

Participants will be asked to complete a VO2max test, DXA, pQCT, muscle strength, and questionnaires over two study visits.

The project aims to identify behaviours that athletes can engage in on a regular basis to help them avoid breaking the anti-doping rules of sport.

Alumni Spotlight: M茅lodie Daoust Aims for Olympic Gold

捆绑SM社区 Education alumna, M茅lodie Daoust (B.Ed. Phys. Ed. 2017) will compete with the Canadian women's hockey team in the upcoming Winter Olympics in Beijing, scheduled to take place February 4 to 20, 2022. It will be her third time competing in the Olympic Games, and as the 2021 World Championship MVP, she is determined to bring her team to victory.听"We want to show everyone that the gold medal belongs to Canada," said Daoust when discussing next month's games.听
