Dear Members of the 捆绑SM社区 community,

捆绑SM社区 is home to a vibrant international community, and many of us have roots in countries around the world. Global crises can affect us all.

The ongoing conflict in Ukraine has been a source of deep preoccupation to many of us. As Principal of our university, I am reminded of the need for 鈥 and the potential fragility of 鈥 stability and peace in order to pursue higher learning and the advancement of knowledge.

In celebration of three important milestones, the 85th birthday of a true 捆绑SM社区 champion, the beginning of the University鈥檚 third century, and the upcoming 65th anniversary of his class, a聽 brand new named award is being established in 捆绑SM社区's Faculty of Education to celebrate Thomas B. Thompson (BSc(PE) 鈥58, Med 鈥78), a Physical Education alumnus with a proven track record of community service.

Madame Iona Spreads Kindness During COVID

鈥淵ou shouldn鈥檛 even have the right to education...测辞耻鈥檙别 black鈥 were the hateful words said to Iona Amico by a fellow grade one student many years ago. Born in France and raised in Quebec, Iona Amico is the daughter of a Cameroonian mom and an Italian dad who grew up biracial in a predominantly Caucasian neighbourhood. Despite having faced incidents of bigotry and feeling like she was between two worlds, she did not let these experiences jade her.
