Resources

The Centre for Strategy Studies in Organizations (CSSO) supports the execution and dissemination of high quality research in strategy and organization studies. To this end, the Center sponsors several initiatives to support faculty and PhD students.

Seed grants for faculty

CSSO invites area members to apply for small research grants to a maximum of $4,000 each. Priority will be given to researchers who intend to use the funds to initiate new research projects. The grants are primarily intended to fund data acquisition and research assistants. Travel, meals, and computers are excluded. All expenses must conform to University policies.

If you wish to apply for a grant, please submit a document of one page in length that briefly describes how you would use the funds, including budget.

Deadline:  A call for applications is issued in the fall.

Dissertation grant competition

The CSSO invites doctoral students in the Strategy & Organization Area to apply for the CSSO Dissertation Award Competition. Award winners will be selected based on the reviews and recommendations of a faculty adjudication committee. The winner will receive a $5,000 grant towards their dissertation research.

Eligibility: Applicants must be no earlier than in the fourth year of their studies. We encourage all students having reached this stage to submit an application package. If you have not been an awardee, you may apply in multiple years.

How to apply: A call for submissions will be posted each year in the fall.
