Dear professors, dear classmates, dear Sirs, and Dear Madams,
It’s my great honor to be here to share my excitement of graduating from the À¦°óSMÉçÇø GMSCM program, and two and a half years of amazing campus life with all of you.
I would like to deliver this speech by sharing several numbers.
First, THIRTY-ONE.
GMSCM2016 is made up of 31 students, with different backgrounds, different characters, different habits. The GMSCM program successfully connected those 31 persons, teachers, professors and so on. We experienced a very happy life in the past two and a half years together. And we are now all ready to graduate from this program today. I think for us this is the most exciting moment since enrollment.
Second, TWENTY-FOUR.
Being admitted to the GMSCM program is not an easy task, and successfully graduating from this program is also not an easy thing. It took us two and a half years time from admission to graduation. During this period, we suffered 24 different courses with different accents and challenges. It was just like we were attacking the monsters step by step, and finally getting rid of the big boss. Compared to the normal MBA courses, all these courses were delivered in English. Though most of us more or less have English backgrounds, understanding all the points delivered by professors was still not easy. Especially since we had a lot of assignments and examinations during and after the courses. But all the classmates always help each other; we arranged several sharing sessions or examination preparation workshops to prepare for the examinations. With all these efforts, we all successfully passed all the examinations. It is great, successful teamwork. Well done classmates!
Then, ELEVEN.
Our classmates are from eleven different cities. Here I would like to highlight Fendy Cao, he is from Shandong province. He needs to travel half a day to come to the campus, and another half a day back on weekends. Most times he arrived at home in the middle of the night. People like Fendy make our class regionally diversified. It not only shows our classmates’ ambitions, but also shows how this program attracts people. I think more and more students applying to this program is the best way to prove this point.
Next, TEN.
This is an amazing program, I clearly remember our ‘boy friend’ Bingfei sharing his story in the first class meeting. He told us that he and his wife worked hard on the babies for more than 8 years with no seed gained. But once he was admitted to the GMSCM program, he and his wife successfully had their first baby. Even more, they already had the second baby so far. And I’m not sure whether their third baby is on the way ^_^. But, for sure ten GMSCM babies were already born so far from the GMSCM2016 team since enrollment. It’s amazing. Especially those mothers are so great; they have balanced their studies and lives with babies. Please let me represent all the boys to show our great respects to all the mothers. In addition, several classmates found the most important person in their lives during these two and a half years.
Finally ONE.
One big family, not only the students, but also the professors, teachers. We all together make up the whole family. I clearly remember the nights we were preparing the examinations together, the nights we competed with strong basketball teams, the moments we celebrated our successes with teachers and professors. So on and so on. We live like a family in the past two and a half years. We helped each other, we encouraged each other, we influenced each other.
Now we are getting separated, and back to our own lives, but I am 100% sure that everyone here will remember the two and a half years we experienced together! Again, I’m proud of being part of this big family!
Thank You
Zhicheng Zhu
