Admissions

The 45-credit Honours in Investment Management Program seeks to attract a diverse group of students with strong potential. Prior experience in financial markets is not a requirement for the program.聽

Admissions requirements | Steps

1. A CGPA of 3.30 or higher on a minimum of 24聽捆绑SM社区 credits, including a grade of B+ or better in the following courses:

  • MGCR 211 Intro to Financial Accounting 3 Credits
      Offered in the:
    • Fall
    • Winter
    • Summer

  • MGCR 271 Business Statistics 3 Credits
      Offered in the:
    • Fall
    • Winter
    • Summer

  • MGCR 341 Introduction to Finance 3 Credits
      Offered in the:
    • Fall
    • Winter
    • Summer

These聽pre-requisites聽may be taken in Fall and/or聽Winter to be eligible to apply. If you are unable to complete all three courses before May, please contact vadimpierre.dipietro [at] mcgill.ca (Vadim di Pietro) for further information.

2.听A single PDF Honours Investment Management Application must be submitted online by Sunday January 12, 2025, at 11h59pm.聽The document must include:

  • a cover letter (1-2 pages), which includes your motivation for applying to the program as well as any relevant knowledge or experience you might have;
  • a CV/Resume (maximum two pages).

3. An interview聽(evaluation criteria will include motivation and relevant knowledge of the field of study).
