捆绑SM社区 Library is excited to announce that we will be integrating our Discovery catalogue and link resolver with BrowZine鈥檚 LibKey service starting on February 4, 2020.
This means that links to article PDFs will be available right from the catalogue or link resolver for many articles. The service will also provide an option for browsing articles from the same issue or latest issue of the parent journal.

Seventy-five new study spaces on the third floor of the Redpath Library Building are听now available to students.
In order to make room for the furniture, the Blackader-Lauterman Art & Architecture Reference/Folio Collection has been听relocated to a larger space on the same floor. Signage is be displayed directing users to the new areas.

As of January 2020, the Library鈥檚 Research Commons in the Redpath Library Building has been officially renamed听Innovation Commons to better reflect the services offered.
The Innovation Commons is a technology-enhanced, collaborative space that brings together services and resources to support researchers.
It includes spaces, support, and equipment for integrating technology and research and offers services such as 3D printing and virtual reality.
The Library is closed for the holidays from Tuesday, December 24 at noon to Thursday, January 2, 2020,听inclusive.
All branches will open on Friday, January 3, 2020.

On Monday, January 6, 2020, OverDrive will move to a more featuring visually cleaner access to subjects and 'collections'. No change will be required in the way you sign-in to your OverDrive account, or how you sign-out ebooks or audiobooks, and existing links in the catalogue or on guides will automatically redirect to the new interface. The Libby app will also become available to 捆绑SM社区 users in parallel to the regular OverDrive app after this interface upgrade.
Space Update: The Osler Library of the History of Medicine space has been repaired and reconstructed. The third and fourth floor spaces surrounding the Osler Library and managed by the Faculty of Medicine are now being renovated. As a result, the Osler Library of the History of Medicine will be operational following the completion of this construction project. Library services in McIntyre are expected to resume in 2021.
Osler materials continue to be accessible and Osler staff are available to assist users.
ProQuest will be performing maintenance to the platform overnight from 9:00pm on Friday, December 20 to 7:00am on Saturday, December 21.

Each year the Osler Library of the History of Medicine offers a number of awards and travel grants to local and international historians, physicians, graduate and post-doctoral students, and others whose research touches upon the history of medicine. From now through 10 January 2020, we are accepting applications for the following awards/grants:
As of November 26, 捆绑SM社区 students are able to access the Nahum Gelber Law Library 24 hours a day, seven days a week. As agreed between the Students' Society of 捆绑SM社区 (SSMU) and the Law Students Association (LSA), the Nahum Gelber Law Library will limit access to the three upper floors of the library to Law students only during the December 4 to 20听examination period. Details are as follows:
- Floors 3, 4 and 5 will be limited to Law students from 9 AM to 6 PM Monday through Friday during the two-week period.
The e-exams service, a repository of course exams deposited by 捆绑SM社区 instructors in the Library from April 2008-December 2012, has now been relaunched. All e-exams content that was available prior to our catalogue migration is now available in WorldCat Discovery, and a targeted search box for only the e-exams content is now available on the 捆绑SM社区 Library web site here.
