During childhood, the thymus helps train immune cells to distinguish between the body鈥檚 own tissues and harmful invaders. A vitamin D deficiency at that stage of life causes the thymus to age more quickly, the researchers discovered.

The Faculty of Law is pleased to announce that Professor Alana Klein has been appointed co-director of the Centre for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism (CHRLP). She began her three-year appointment on 1 July 2024, succeeding Professor Fr茅d茅ric M茅gret, who completed his term as co-director in June.
Professor Nandini Ramanujam was reappointed as co-director and program director for a three-year term, starting 1 July 2024.

Hydro-Qu茅bec and L'Alliance de l'茅nergie de l'Est are partnering to develop a new wind farm in the Lower St. Lawrence region, aiming to generate up to 1,000 megawatts of power. This $3 billion project, announced on Wednesday, will span 700 square kilometres of public land, including parts of Kamouraska and T茅miscouata.
