Dr. Bernard Lapointe, an Associate Professor of Palliative Medicine in 捆绑SM社区鈥檚 Departments of Family Medicine and Oncology and an internationally recognized leader in his field, has been honoured with a 150th Anniversary Medal by the Senate of Canada.

On November 17, 捆绑SM社区鈥檚 Department of Family Medicine signed an agreement with the Zhengzhou University School of Medicine and Zhengzhou Central Hospital in order to provide training for general practitioners in the coming year. The training will be completed in two ways, with a cohort of Chinese doctors coming to Montreal for an intensive two-week course (joining teachers from Beijing with whom a contract was signed in September of this year) and a potential additional group of Chinese GPs in Henan province receiving training via a 12-month distance blended education program.

Montreal, October 13, 2017听- With its new Family Medicine Innovations in Learning initiative (FMIL), 捆绑SM社区 Family Medicine Department is proud to announce that it is now establishing partnerships across the world and online programs to share years of experience in care, teaching and research.听

Internationally, 31 students from the city of Shenzhen in China are now part of the FMIL programs and will welcome two 捆绑SM社区 professors in December 2017. Future partnerships include the Faculty of Santa Marcelina in Sao Paulo, Brazil.听
