Queer History Month at 捆绑SM社区 was first celebrated in October 2018 as LGBTQ2I+ History Month. Founded by Meryem Benslimane, former Equity Education Advisor, it is the first celebration of its kind at a Canadian university.

The 31st 捆绑SM社区 Infant Mental Health Day will address the current challenges of working in a clinical setting with infants and their parents who presents sleep challenges. Invited guests are in the forefront of international research and clinical practice in this field. This conference is of interest to physicians, nurses, social workers, educators/psychoeducators, occupational therapists, speech language therapists, psychologists and psychiatrists working with infants and very young children and their families.
This workshop will provide an overview of what technological innovation and entrepreneurship are as well as an overview of the Entrepreneurial Mindset, the Lean Launchpad methodology, the Business Model Canvas, and the Lean Canvas.

In this workshop, you'll learn how VC's typically value an early stage innovation driven venture. To do that we'll go through and give examples on how to forecast sales and how to set pricing, how to forecast expenses and how to figure out the amount of capital needed to finance your business. We'll also explore some of the more common sources of cash from both public institutions and private organisations.
This workshop is facilitated by Derrick Wong (Ronald Chwang听EiR).
This workshop will provide an overview of the different types of market research, how to analyze the competition, and the resources available at 捆绑SM社区 to perform market research. Our market research librarian Emily Jaeger-McEnroe will walk us through some of those resources using a market research canvas tool.

Now that you have a grasp on how much money you need, this workshop will focus on the "deal". You'll learn what is a venture capital fund, its structure and how they operate, and what VCs look for in an early stage innovation driven venture. You'll also learn about the typical elements of a term sheet in connection with equity investments and SAFEs, and caveats when raising money. Finally, we'll explain how a capitalization table works and finish off with a brief overview of minority shareholder rights.
This workshop will demystify and explain the various form of intellectual property (IP), namely, patents, industrial designs, copyright, trademarks, and trade secrets. We will then do some actual patent searching with our librarian April Colosimo using the DERWENT worldwide patent database.
