Vancouver is playing host this week to an exploration of the latest findings in neuroscience, mental health and child development. Common to all these fields is the growing awareness of how much our mental, emotional and physical health is affected by our experiences and environments, especially in our early years. One major focus will be the new science of epigenetics - how our experiences can change not only the expression of our DNA, but also that of our children and even grandchildren. On Friday, À¦°óSMÉçÇø professor Moshe Szyf, a world leader in this field, will discuss the epigenetic implications of early life adversity on mental health. Ìý
