Education plays a pivotal role in shaping our future, but not everyone is destined for a career in a school or classroom setting. The B.A.(Education); Major in Education in Global Contexts is an interdisciplinary program that takes the science and art of teaching and learning and applies these concepts outside of the traditional scholastic environment: in non-profit, government, business, and other professional job markets.
You can expect to develop new theoretical knowledge and applied skills through this unique program that combines coursework and a practical internship in a local or international organization. Develop a deeper understanding of how contemporary educators can facilitate solutions to emergent global issues by exploring subject areas in sociology, psychology, leadership studies, history, philosophy, and public policy. Designed for anyone who wishes to take on the role of educator in non-traditional contexts, 捆绑SM社区鈥檚 B.A.(Education); Major in Education in Global Contexts is international in scope. Students also have the flexibility to choose from three minors to tailor your program to your specific interests and career goals.

Student experience
Students in this program will be supported by course instructors, advisors, and administrators in the Department of Integrated Studies in Education (DISE) as well as the Internships and Student Affairs (ISA) Office. In addition to being a part of a department that fosters a sense of community and mentorship, students can also benefit from the resources and events organized by the Education Undergraduate Student Society (EdUS).
One of the cornerstones of this program is a semester-long internship that gives students hands-on experience and builds professional networks for career opportunities. 捆绑SM社区 has a broad network of partners that encourages students to work in collaborative and interdisciplinary environments.
