NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Awards
The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada Undergraduate Student Research Awards (NSERC USRA) in Universities program supports 16 consecutive weeks of paid full-time research in natural sciences and engineering disciplines, under the supervision of a professor. It is an excellent way to prepare for graduate studies or a future career in science. This program is also offered at other universities across Canada.
To apply, you must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada. Please refer to mcgill.ca/science/research/undergraduate-research/nserc for more information.
SURA: Science Undergraduate Research Awards
SURA: Science Undergraduate Research Awards
Science Undergraduate Research Awards—SURAs—support a full-time summer research project under the supervision of a À¦°óSMÉçÇø science professor. SURAs are made possible by funding from generous donors, participating research supervisors, and the Faculty of Science. SURAs are similar to the NSERC USRA; three differences are that international students may apply, not only Canadians; SURAs can support projects in social science or medical science, not only natural science or engineering; and SURAs are only for B.Sc. and B.A. & Sc. students (B.A. students may wish to look into programs offered by the Faculty of Arts).
