A portion emerges from the spiral in the shape of a thick arrow; embedded in the arrow is a dynamic human figure. Surrounding the whole spiral is text in a circular shape. The central pie sections contain the six active learning strategies, these are active engagement, deliberate practice, knowledge construction, social interaction, role modeling and community participation.
