Online Graduate Certificate in Cybersecurity

The Graduate Certificate in Cybersecurity will equip you with the knowledge you need to enter the dynamic field of cybersecurity. Students will learn through听high-quality video lectures and collaborative exercises how to prevent and defend attacks on information systems. Using EC Council and Cyberscore training labs, students will develop relevant skills听to progress in their existing careers in technology or to build their skillset to enter the job market.听

The content is fully online and asynchronous, meaning students can do their coursework on their own schedule while balancing existing employment or family responsibilities. Courses are module-based and follow an 8-week progression. Students enroll in two part-time courses per semester and will finish the program within ten months. An instructor will be available to guide and support students during their courses, holding office hours and providing help with the content.听

Credits towards Master's degree in Cybersecurity Analytics

The School is in the process of developing a new Graduate Certificate in Cloud and Operational Technology (OT) Security and a new stackable Master's in Cybersecurity Analytics, subject to approvals by 捆绑SM社区. Should the programs be approved, students completing this Graduate Certificate in Cybersecurity may utilize the credits toward a Master's in Cybersecurity Analytics, with the conditions of meeting the admission requirements and receiving approvals from 捆绑SM社区 GPS and SIS. To be considered for the Master's program, applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree.听

The program is created by top cybersecurity academics and industrial practitioners together with the 捆绑SM社区 Teaching and Learning Services. Professor Benjamin Fung is a Canada Research Chair in Data Mining for Cybersecurity, a Full Professor in the School of Information Studies (SIS), and an Associate Member in the School of Computer Science at 捆绑SM社区.
