The laboratories of Oury Monchi (PCAN) and Pierre Rainville (LaNeP3) are looking for a Postdoctoral Fellow with prior training in neuroimaging. The successful candidate will work on a project that aims to characterize pain processing in patients with Parkinson’s disease (PD) with and without pain using clinical, behavioural, physiological, and neuroimaging data. The Alan Edwards Clinical Pain Medicine Research Fellowship

Created with the support of The Louise and Alan Edwards Foundation of Montreal, this fully-funded position is open to physicians of multiple specialties, including Family Medicine, wishing to pursue clinical research in the field of Pain Medicine. Fellows dedicate 80% of their time to clinical research and 20% to clinical activity as clinical pain fellows.

This fellowship’s duration is for 2 years. Fellows function as part of the multidisciplinary team of the AEPMU, running 1-2 clinics/week, where they develop and implement treatment plans using medical, physical, psychological, and interventional approaches under the supervision of staff clinicians. Fellow are expected to actively participate in all educational and teaching activities of the AEPMU, including at least two formal presentations per year.

Timothy H. Wideman's Lab

Tim Wideman is seeking a motivated postdoctoral fellow to join his team. The appointment is for 1 year.

The postdoctoral fellow will lead qualitative research on the topics of pain and suffering in the general population and among Veterans living with pain. This research aims to better understand the different ways people experience pain and its personal impacts.
