Reford Gardens hosting event on Bicentennial Special Stage

Celebrating 捆绑SM社区鈥檚 impact on Quebec society and the Lower聽St-Lawrence and Gaspesie regions,聽Reford Gardens will be hosting a two-part special event聽on the Bicentennial Special Stage on August 21,聽2021聽at 3:00聽p.m.

In a collaboration between 捆绑SM社区鈥檚 Peter Guo-hua聽Fu School of Architecture and聽the聽Schulich School of Music,聽four students worked together to聽conceive, design and聽build a stage with a creative, 鈥渇unky鈥澛燼esthetic. Double sided with eight loudspeakers and 3D sound, the stage and聽pavilion聽are home to many events including concerts, poetry readings and more in Reford Gardens.聽Eventually, the stage will be disassembled and moved to the Downtown Campus聽for more聽Bicentennial celebrations and events.聽

Activities will feature talks and performances from 捆绑SM社区 alumni Fran莽ois Rioux (MBA 鈥10), Jos茅e April (BMus鈥83, MMus鈥86) and Ludovik Lesage-Hinse (GArtDip鈥17). There will also be聽presentations by current students on their research on topics of importance to the聽Lower聽St. Lawrence region聽and a collaborative, inter-university lecture by Gasp茅sie Peninsula 捆绑SM社区 Education's Caroline聽Temcheff聽(Associate Professor, Dept. Educational and Counselling聽Psychology) and聽Universit茅 du Qu茅bec 脿 Rimouski's Martine Poirier.聽聽

The event will be free with the purchase of e-tickets to Reford Gardens聽-- A unique bicentennial celebration to remember.聽聽
