Anthony Tan wins two ECM+聽Generation2014聽Awards

Following聽the recent cross-country tour of聽骋茅苍茅谤补迟颈辞苍2014,听a series of concerts聽produced by the Ensemble Contemporain de Montr茅al (ECM+),聽Mr. Anthony Tan won both the Jury Prize and the Audience Prize for his composition entitled聽Ksana II,聽which received its world premiere performance in Banff on November 6, 2014.聽Mr Tan is in the PhD program (composition), jointly supervised by Profs. John Rea and Stephen McAdams.
Scored for an ensemble of ten instruments, the work is significant for its transformation of instrumental timbres and the role they play in shaping and texturing musical discourse.
