Ha! compagnons 鈥� Elodie Bouchard and Anthony Harvey (Immersive Sound Art)

听takes the listener back to a time when the voice and the lute were the true companions in the quest for poetic and musical expression. Soprano听听(MMus鈥�19)听and lutenist听Anthony Harvey听(MMus鈥�20, current DMus)听offer vivid and colourful interpretations of听air de听cour, ayres and monodies by 17th-century composers Giulio听Caccini, Thomas Campion, Sigismondo听d鈥橧ndia, Claudio Monteverdi and Etienne听Moulini茅.听听Thanks to the innovative work of听Tonmeister听Ephraim Hahn听(MMus鈥�19)听and his team,听Ha!听compagnons听will be available in the听听formats Auro-3D and Dolby Atmos together with a conventional stereo and an immersive binaural mix for headphones, all wrapped up in听a beautiful album cover designed by听Justin听Luchinski听(BMus鈥�18, MMus鈥�20).听
Refractions 鈥� Patrick Graham听

Refractions is a first step in a new direction.听Since the beginning of the global crisis that started in early 2020, like many artists,听(BMus鈥�95)听had听been struggling to come to terms with the almost complete shut-down of live performances. In reaction to the current situation,听he听turned a lot of听his听attention to creating at home, recording and mixing. 'Refractions' is the result of these explorations, an EP of music that was recorded, mixed and re-mixed during the last 8 strange months. It marks听Patrick鈥檚听first foray into taking control of the technical aspects of听his听own music, working primarily from home,听using听a mix of acoustic percussion sounds and digital mixing techniques. It's an album best experienced听with a good set of headphones in a quiet space.听
听Jeu d'ombres 鈥� Mathieu Soucy

The suite itself takes the form of a call for celebrating togetherness. It is thus of no surprise if it unfolds as a collaboration听by听Mathieu Soucy (BMus'19)听with Sarah Rossy听(BMus'17 MMus'19), Jeanne C么t茅听(MMus'20)听and Louis Stein听(BMus'16)听with recording, mixing and mastering done by Alex Bohn (MMus'20).听脡luard鈥檚听and Baudelaire鈥檚 poetry shine forth in a dialogue between Sarah Rossy鈥檚 compelling voice, melodies and harmonies evoking a turbulent ethereal space, Jeanne鈥檚 natural willingness to get lost in order to discover a new self and Louis鈥� eye that grounds itself in the soil that听opens up听under his untired look.听
