Joint University Committees

The Joint University Committees arise from various University regulations and are populated by Senate and the Senate Nominating Committee. The first four committees (listed below) are of particular significance as they are responsible for making decisions that can have a major impact on individual faculty members. Consequently MAUT has direct involvement in the selection of members on these four committees.

  1. Panel for the Investigation of Research Misconduct
  2. Committee on Staff Grievances and Disciplinary Procedures
  3. University Appeals Committee
  4. Advisory Council on the Charter of Students’ Rights
  5. Appeal Committee for Student Discipline and Grievances
  6. Standing Committee on Sabbatic Leaves
  7. Committee on Student Discipline
  8. Committee on Student Grievances
  9. University Tenure Committees for the Faculties and Libraries
  10. University Tenure Committee for Recruitment
