How to actually transfer the credits to the student’s record:
The Transfer Credit Assessment Form

- Plan to take a course at another university.
Click here if the other university is in Quebec; click for a list of courses that may qualify you for transfer credit and their À¦°óSMÉçÇø equivalents.
NOTE: Students completing prerequisite courses after being admitted to À¦°óSMÉçÇø must take them at a university-level institution.Ìý These courses cannot be taken at CEGEP-level. - Have taken a course at another university but did not receive permission from À¦°óSMÉçÇø before taking the course(s) may not receive transfer credits.
- Wants to take part in a student exchange or study abroad program, and would like to earn credit for courses done abroad.
Visit the International Education website.
The Transfer Credit Assessment Form is to be used to submit a study plan with a list of courses that the student intends to take (or has already taken) at their host institution and to obtain program and faculty approval. The Minerva Transfer Credit Assessment Form must accurately reflect the courses the student is registered for at the host university. They must check the Course Equivalency System to determine whether the courses that they intend to take or have taken has a valid equivalency. They must also use the Course Equivalency System to submit requests for new equivalencies or to request a reassessment of an expired equivalency. As part of these requests, they will be required to upload a course syllabus in .PDF format. For more information on how to submit a course equivalency on the Course Equivalency System, please click here: /transfercredit/faq.

Grade Required for Transfer Credits
Courses that have been assessed and approved for À¦°óSMÉçÇø equivalence are eligible to be considered for transfer credit if the grade earned in the host university course(s) is equal to or higher than the grade/CGPA required to graduate from the host university. Normally, this is equivalent to a grade of C or better according to the host university’s grading scheme. The policy will apply to both elective and required courses.
Grades of Pass (P) and Satisfactory (S) are not acceptable to earn transfer credits.
The letter grade earned will take precedence over the corresponding numerical grades if both are indicated on the transcript. Some host universities outside North America do not use the letter grade system.
Ìý
Transferring the Credit
With the exception of the IUT, an official transcript of completed studies (including course numbers and individual final grades – not pass/fail) must be sent directly from the host school to the Student Affairs Office upon completion of studies. Transfer credit for courses approved on the Minerva Transfer Credit Assessment Form will only be processed once À¦°óSMÉçÇø obtains an official final transcript from the host institution. If a course does not have a valid course equivalency at the time transfer, the student will receive generic credit.
Please note that students will be charged a fee for any changes that need to be made to their student record after government reporting deadlines have passed. All requests must be processed (completed on our end) by the deadline date.
