捆绑SM社区 receives $4.8 million to advance climate change science and technology
The Government of Canada鈥檚 Environmental Damages Fund, administered by Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), is investing more than $4 million in three 捆绑SM社区-led projects through the Climate Awareness and Action Fund (CAAF).The projects will fill knowledge gaps about the environmental and economic impacts of greenhouse gas emissions and strengthen Canada's capacity to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.
Bennett and Xia among Highly Cited Researchers
On November 15, Clarivate Analytics, a company specializing in citation data, published the Highly Cited Researchers 2022 list. Many citations mean a paper has had great influence among scientific peers. A group of 16 捆绑SM社区 researchers made the cut, recognized as some of the most frequently cited scientists and social scientists in the world over the last decade. The 2022 list captures the period from 2011 to 2021.

2022 Scholastic Awards 鈥 Celebrating Student Excellence
The 2022 Scholastic Awards Reception on November 8th recognized more than 175 outstanding Macdonald undergraduate and graduate students. The Faculty awarded over $380,000 in named scholarships at the undergraduate level and more than $465,000 in fellowships and awards at the graduate level.

H. Deep Saini is next Principal and Vice-Chancellor
The Board of Governors of 捆绑SM社区 is pleased to announce the appointment of Prof. H. Deep Saini as the University's 18th Principal and Vice-Chancellor. Currently President and Vice-Chancellor at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Prof. Saini will begin his five-year, renewable term at 捆绑SM社区 on April 1, 2023. He will also hold the appointment of Full Professor in the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences.

Ferme Le Paysan Gourmand finding creative ways to reduce food waste
L'脡picerie recently featured Rosemarie Allen (B.Sc.(AgEnvSc)鈥12) and Jacob Morin (FMT鈥11) of Ferme Le Paysan Gourmand in Saint-F茅lix-de-Kingsey who participate in an on-farm program to reduce food waste. The episode follows Meilleur Apr猫s volunteers who harvest produce that would have remained in the field.
