From Saturday April 30 to Tuesday, August 30, all Library branches will switch over to spring/summer opening and service hours. For more information, please visit the hours page or consult individual branch pages.听
April 29 from 5:30-7:30AM | Electrical shutdown in the McLennan-Redpath Library Complex
Please note that a planned, sector-wide power outage will affect the McLennan-Redpath Library Complex on听Friday, April 29 from 5:30am to 7:30am.
The sole source of lighting during this period will be emergency lighting in hallways and exit areas.
For safety reasons, 捆绑SM社区 security guards will escort Library users out of the McLennan-Redpath Complex before the shutdown is set to begin.
April 20-21 | Circulation services unavailable. Reference Services & most Library spaces open for study.
MUNACA has obtained a strike mandate from their members, following a vote that took place on April 6. 捆绑SM社区 has been informed that MUNACA intends to exercise their right to use pressure tactics and is planning a two-day strike this week on Wednesday, April 20 and Thursday, April 21, 2022.

Holds temporarily not accepted on Osler Library鈥檚 circulating collection
As part of the service disruption as Osler Library of the History of Medicine moves back to the McIntyre Building, please note that no holds can currently be placed on the Osler鈥檚 circulating collection, with the exception of the journal collection in the Redpath Library Building Basement.

April 4 - 29 | Extended opening hours at McLennan-Redpath Library Complex & Nahum Gelber Law Library
Beginning April 4, two branches will be open later to give you more time to study and get your work done.
Exam period access to Nahum Gelber Law Library for Winter 2022
As of April 4, 捆绑SM社区 students are able to access the Nahum Gelber Law Library 24 hours a day, seven days a week. As agreed between the Students' Society of 捆绑SM社区 (SSMU) and the Law Students Association (LSA), the Nahum Gelber Law Library will limit access to the three upper floors of the library to Law students only during the April 13 to 29 examination period. Details are as follows:

Make your voice heard! LibQUAL+ 2022 survey starts March 15
Starting March 15, the LibQUAL+ survey will be emailed to a random sample of 捆绑SM社区 students and to all faculty, instructors, research assistants, and research associates. This survey provides the opportunity to give feedback on Library services, collections, and spaces.

Digital Scholarship Hub Software Lab Launching March 7
Monday, March 7 will mark the launch the Library's new Digital Scholarship Hub space in the Redpath Library Building RM-16 (main floor).
The Macdonald Campus Seed Library is back!
On Tuesday, March 1 the Macdonald Campus Library will be opening up the Seed Library for online orders. The seed catalogue will be made available to 捆绑SM社区 students, faculty, and staff on opening day. Please note that there is a limit of 25 seed packets per borrower.
Revised Author/Creator sorting in catalogue
With a recent update to the Sofia catalogue, the 鈥淎uthor/Creator鈥� search filter now sorts on the record count of the search query. Clicking 鈥淪how More 鈱勨�� will expand the filter and sort authors alphabetically, with Latin script listed first.
