聽was back on March 13, 2024. For the ninth year running, global community members came together for 捆绑SM社区鈥檚 day of giving by making a gift to support a cause close to their heart.聽Library gifts of any amount that day helped unlock challenge funds, creating a better future, complete with:

The future of the 捆绑SM社区 Library | Fiat Lux

Generously supported by the Friends of the Library, the is the culmination of an exhaustive planning process to match 捆绑SM社区鈥檚 21st century needs. It proposes a newly reimagined McLennan-Redpath complex and will be a light-filled, open-concept space that favours flexibility and multifunctionality to support different modes of learning, as well as health and well-being.聽


The impact of giving to the Library

Gifts to the Library have an immediate impact, providing students with the tools they need to nurture their curiosity, achieve academic success and go on to fulfilling careers. The following are just a few of the many things made possible through recent donations.

  • Visitors looking at rare itemsRenovation of the Colgate Room in Rare Books and Special Collections thanks to the Joan and Clifford Hatch Family Foundation 鈥 transformed into a flexible space for both lectures and classes.
  • The 鈥 used in teaching and learning and available online as a digital collection.
  • Student internships in the 捆绑SM社区 Visual Arts Collection (VAC) 鈥 gives students the chance to gain valuable work experience while also helping with the day-to-day management of over +2,500 artworks as well as outreach and art education initiatives.
  • The Michele Larose-Osler Artist-in-Residence programme 鈥 promotes interaction with the Osler Library鈥檚 history of medicine materials in new and surprising ways.
