Exploratory work on Redpath Library Building, May 28-31

Exploratory work will be carried out on the Redpath Library Building (McTavish side) from May 28 to May 31, 2024. The work will be related to upcoming foundation, windows, and roofing projects, and will be carried out in enclosures to control any dust, in accordance with Quebec CNESST regulations and cautionary asbestos conditions. There may be noise disruptions as a result.
Workspaces on main floor of McLennan-Redpath Library Complex inaccessible beginning Monday, May 27

The Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences will be holding their annual CONGRESS conference at 捆绑SM社区 from June 12-24. The main floor of the McLennan-Redpath Library Complex will be a major destination during this conference as it will house the registration area and other related activities.

Facilities Management and Ancillary Services is planning a major electrical shutdown on Sunday, May 26 which will affect the McLennan-Redpath Complex and result in the closure of the Complex. For all library opening hours, please see the Libraries hours page.

StackMap discontinued effective May 30

StackMap, the online mapping and way-finding tool found in the catalogue that physically locates items in the stacks will be discontinued effective May 30, 2024. The bulk of materials featured in StackMap have moved to 捆绑SM社区 Collections Centre scheduled to open in June 2024.
Passageway temporarily blocked from McTavish to the McLennan-Redpath Terrace for HVAC work April 22
Please note that the exterior passageway between McTavish and the McLennan-Redpath Terrace will be blocked off for work on HVAC units on Monday, April 22.
During this period, the McLennan-Redpath Complex will be open its usual hours. For access to the Complex from McTavish, please enter further up the street, near Morrice Hall.

As of March 28, 2024, books will begin to move from the basement of the Redpath Library Building to the 捆绑SM社区 Collections Centre (MUCC). Until the day of the move, the floor will remain open, and the books and study spaces will be fully accessible.
Exam period access to Nahum Gelber Law Library for Winter 2024

As of Monday, April 8, 捆绑SM社区 students are able to access the Nahum Gelber Law Library 24 hours a day, seven days a week. As agreed between the Students' Society of 捆绑SM社区 (SSMU) and the Law Students Association (LSA), the Nahum Gelber Law Library will limit access to the three upper floors of the library to Law students only during the April 15 to 30 examination period.
