Chantal Malard Memorial Prize (Graduation Award)
Establishedin 1997 by the Education Undergraduate Society in memory of Chantal Malard, a former Education student. Awarded to a student who has demonstratedartistic ability,leadership qualities,and involvement involunteer activitieswhile maintaining ahigh academic standing(e.g. at least 3.50 CGPA).

Establishedin 1999 by the Colwyn and Jean Rich Foundation in honour of James A. Robb, Q.C., B.C.L. 1954, graduate and friend of SM. Awarded on the basis ofhigh academic achievementto a student who has completedat least one yearof full-time study in theB.Ed. Secondaryprogram. Preference will be given to students who have demonstratedleadership.

Jack Schoel/Dr. & Mrs. Hirsh RosenfeldScholarships in Jewish Education
Established in 1986 to commemorate an act of kindness by Sir Edward Beatty, then Chancellor of SM. Awarded to an undergraduate or graduate student(s) on the basis of high academic achievement, sustained engagement with youth via regular involvement or leadership in Jewish educational programs, and/or completion of one or more approved Jewish Studies courses. Awarded by the Faculty of Education's Committee on Student Affairs on the recommendation of the Coordinator of the Jewish Education Programs.
Approved courses: Any JWST course, EDER 320, EDER 318, EDER 319, EDER 252, EDER 401, HIST 207, HIST 219, HIST 307, HIST 427, HIST 477, and or SOCI 327.
In your Personal Statement, outline your eligibility for the award, based on the following criteria:
- Your sustained engagement with youth via regular involvement or leadership in Jewish educational programs in the past year; such activities can be paid/unpaid but should emphasize the key component of Jewish education (e.g. instructing on Jewish religion, culture, history, language, etc.)
John Chomay Award
Established by friends, colleagues and former students in honour of Professor John Chomay, a member of the Department of Physical Education from 1969 to 1990. Awarded on the basis ofacademic achievementandparticipation in student athletics, to a student entering thefinal yearof either thePhysical EducationorKinesiologyprogram, with a preference to members of intercollegiate sport teams.

MTL/QC Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa Prize in Education
Established in 2003 by the Montreal/Quebec Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa forundergraduate studentscompleting theirsecond year(i.e. currently a Year 2) of a degree program in the Faculty of Education, with a preference forQuebec residentsinvolved inextracurricular activities.

- Your involvement in extracurricular activities (e.g. volunteerism, athletics, university groups, etc.) in the past year
Walter A. & K. Mary Marsh Scholarships in the Faculty of Education
Established in 2009 by K. Mary Marsh in memory of her husband, Walter A. Marsh, for outstanding undergraduate students in the Faculty of Education who have completed at least one year of the B.Ed. program (i.e. by the end of the current year)and who have demonstrated leadership qualities.
