Request for extended International Health Insurance (Outside Quebec in Canada)
Important: For any leisure travel outside of Quebec but within Canada, medical expenses are covered up to the specified RAMQ fee schedule of the province of Quebec.
Extended Health Insurance for international students - policy no. 95258
捆绑SM社区's International Student Health Insurance plan has been extended at no additional cost to the student to cover expenses related to Emergency Medical Care, Basic Health and Supplementary Health benefits, as well as Accidental Dismemberment and Repatriation, for international students participating in a University Sanctioned National Activity in Canada but outside of the province of Quebec.
International students are eligible if聽they meet the following criteria:
- You are a student registered at 捆绑SM社区, covered under 捆绑SM社区鈥檚 International Student Health Insurance plan - contract no. 95258
- You are participating in a University Sanctioned聽Activity * in Canada but outside of the province of Quebec.
You may also enroll your dependent(s) in the Plan, namely your spouse and dependent child(ren).
鈥淯niversity Sanctioned Activity鈥�*:聽means curricular activities (i.e., credit or non-credit course work, exchange programs, field work, music performances and research) and co-curricular activities (e.g. University funded internships, varsity sports) that are officially approved or endorsed by 捆绑SM社区 and for which travel is an essential part of the activity, whether or not the student is pursuing the activity for academic credit or recognition, or receives University or third-party funding.
University sanctioned national activities exclude:
鈥� Activities sponsored or organized by student clubs or associations,
鈥� Activities organized solely by a student or group of students.
