General conditions
The maximum duration of a Postdoctoral Research Trainee appointment is three years. Postdoctoral Research Trainees:
- must provide copies of official transcripts
- must have the approval of the 捆绑SM社区 unit and聽 professor who will supervise their research
- must have adequate proficiency in English, but are not required to provide official proof of English competency
- must arrange for basic health insurance coverage聽prior to arrival at 捆绑SM社区
- must be engaged in full time research
- must comply with regulations and procedures governing research ethics and safety and obtain the necessary training
- will be provided access to 捆绑SM社区 libraries, email, and required training in research ethics and safety. Any other university services must be purchased (e.g. access to athletic facilities)
- can perform research only, and may not register for courses or engage in clinical practice.
Health coverage
Please remember that you must make your own arrangements for health coverage (insurance) for the duration of your visit to 捆绑SM社区, and may be required to provide proof of coverage with your postdoctoral registration file.
Taxes
Any scholarship, fellowship, or financial support for postdoctoral studies received from Canadian sources while a research trainee at 捆绑SM社区 will be subject to applicable income taxes.
Services
Upon completion of your registration with聽the Management of Academic Records, Enrolment Services, you will be able to request a 捆绑SM社区 ID card from聽Service Point. Presentation of this card will allow you聽to have access to libraries, university buildings, and labs pertinent to your area of research. Should you wish to use the athletics facilities you may purchase a.
As a postdoctoral research trainee, you are not charged fees, so you will not be a member of any student/postdoctoral society and will not be eligible for services provided by Student Services (e.g. Student Health Service). Please also note that 捆绑SM社区 does not issue transcripts to postdoctoral research trainees.
