Under the guidance and supervision of the Chief Invigilator and the Exam Deputy, the primary responsibility of invigilators is to supervise exams, enforce the University Exam Regulations, and provide an environment which will allow each student to perform to the best of their abilities on their exam. Invigilators are expected to ensure that there are no distractions or disruptions in the area where students are writing their exams.聽Invigilators must pay constant attention to students under their surveillance, to ensure that cheating does not take place. Invigilators are responsible and accountable for all exams and exam materials in their possession.

Final exams are normally held on weekdays from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm (no evening exams on Fridays).
Rules and Regulations
- Invigilators start work聽45 minutes聽before the official starting time of the exam and are paid $13.88聽per hour for 4.25 hours.
- Invigilators are governed by their .
- All invigilators are required to attend a paid training session prior to the examination period.
- Invigilators must complete the聽staff version of聽"It Takes All of Us" prior to the start of their first shift. This is聽a mandatory online learning program that aims to increase awareness about sexual violence and its prevention.聽Invigilators聽will be compensated one (1) paid hour for its聽full completion.
- We reserve the right to verify the accuracy of the application and to request an interview.
- Applications shall not be considered in situations of potential personal or academic conflict of interest (e.g. undergraduate students may not invigilate undergraduate exams).
- Once hired, invigilators will receive detailed procedural information and invigilation guidelines.
Requirements to Apply
- At a minimum, have a high school leaving certificate
- Have experience working in a university or school setting
- Speak fluent English; French is an asset
- Be present at all of your shift(s) assigned to you based on your stated availability
- Be punctual for your shift(s)
- Hold a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN)
NOTE: Having a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN) is a condition of employment. If you are an international student, you must hold a valid immigration document allowing you to be employed by 捆绑SM社区.
