KPE Graduate Maximilien Van Haaster (BSc '16) Among 20 捆绑SM社区ians Headed to Olympic Games in Tokyo

Congratulations to Maximilien Van Haaster (KPE, BSc '16) who joins a 20-member entourage of 捆绑SM社区 students and graduates headed to Tokyo to serve in an official capacity at the Games of the XXXII Olympiad, July 23 to Aug. 8.

Research group is looking for volunteers to take part in a research study that explores the role of exercise in managing body image and health behaviours in women aged 45-75 years.

Congratulations to Ahzum Mujaddid and Jaycie Triandafilou, both MSc (Exercise Physiology) candidates in Prof. Jensen's Clinical Exercise and Respiratory Physiology Laboratory, for being awarded a scholarship supplement from the Quebec Respiratory Health Research Network.

DISE Professor Bronwen Low and Second Year B.Ed Student Jana Naguib Featured in Our Schools/Our Selves

In the latest issue of Our Schools/Our Selves, two articles were published related to Law 21.

One is a first person account written by second year B.Ed student Jana Naguib on her feelings about the Law as a Teacher Education student who wears hijab.

The other, co-authored by DISE Professor Bronwen Low and colleagues with the OFDE, reports on the findings of a province-wide survey on the impact of Law 21 on faculties of education.

Faculty of Education's COVID-Related Research

Throughout the pandemic, there has been much discussion about COVID's health implications, vaccine efficacy, and evolving safety measures, but COVID's impact goes far beyond medical research. For more than a year, COVID has affected our daily lives in multiple facets and听捆绑SM社区's Faculty of Education has been at the forefront of researching COVID's societal impacts.

Seminar in Special Topics: Introduction to Professional Engagement with Indigenous Peoples in Canada

An introduction to key considerations in professional engagement with Indigenous Peoples in Canada, including First Nations, M茅tis, and Inuit peoples. In the pursuit of professional careers in education, counselling, research, and other sectors, students will learn to respectfully engage and work with Indigenous populations in a culturally safe manner that strives to be consistent with the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada鈥檚 calls to action.
