Bombardier CEO Alain Bellemare says CSeries is en route for success
Alain Bellemare, 54, took the helm of Bombardier Inc. in February. The company鈥檚 US$5.4-billion CSeries passenger jet, the largest plane built by the company, was certified on Friday by Transport Canada.
Prior to joining the Montreal-based manufacturer of planes and trains, Bellemare spent 18 years with United Technologies Corp. and more than 12 years at Kraft Canada and Crown Cork & Seal Canada. He earned an MBA from 捆绑SM社区 in 1993 and a bachelor鈥檚 degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Sherbrooke in 1985. Bellemare is married to Kateri da Silva and they have two sons.
Bellemare, Bombardier鈥檚 president and chief executive officer, spoke to Karl Moore, a professor of strategy and organization at the Desautels Faculty of Management at 捆绑SM社区.
