Job Description
Reporting directly to the Chair of the Department of Family Medicine, the Faculty Development Director should be actively involved in Family Medicine educational programs and have previous experience in the design and delivery of educational programs and Faculty Development initiatives. Time commitment is estimated at 1 鈥� 1. 5 days/week (.30 FTE), averaged over the year but is variable.

The Master's (MSc) Graduate Program Director (GPD) will be the principal academic contact between the program and graduate studies and has primary responsibility for all academic matters concerning students in the MSc program including specialized options, as described below. The MSc Thesis GPD reports directly to the Associate Chair (Research and Graduate Programs) as well as the Departmental Chair, the Associate Dean (Faculty of Medicine) for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies and the Dean of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.

This past year, the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) celebrated 40 years since the creation of the Section of Teachers (SOT), a branch of the organization that focuses on the advancement of the academic discipline of Family Medicine.
Two faculty members of the 捆绑SM社区 Department of Family Medicine - Drs. Julie Mass茅 and Teresa Rudkin 鈥� were both highlighted in a series of profiles on family medicine educators in the province, published by the Quebec鈥檚 division of the CFPC, the Coll猫ge qu茅b茅cois des m茅decins de famille.

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Lynn McLauchlin as the new Associate Director for Assessment and Evaluation for 捆绑SM社区鈥檚 Family Medicine Residency Program, who has been in this position since November 1, 2018.
Dr. McLauchlin earned her MDCM degree from 捆绑SM社区 and completed her residency program in Family Medicine at Dalhousie University. She has practiced in New Brunswick and Manitoba and for the last 23 years, at St. Mary鈥檚 Hospital Center in Montreal.
