Water is at the core of sustainability, critical to healthy economies, societies, and ecosystems and Brace Water Centre (Brace) welcomes members from the 捆绑SM社区 research community who are working on water-related issues.听 Membership is open to faculty, post-doctoral fellows, research associates and graduate students.听

Brace Membership Categories

Brace offers four categories of membership:

Core Member (Engineering and FAES only)

Open to faculty members (tenured or tenure-track) from the Faculty of Engineering (Lead Faculty) or the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (involved Faculty)听 who听demonstrate active research in the area of water (i.e. be a recipient of a听 water research related grant in the past 3 years)

Associate Members

Open to 捆绑SM社区 faculty (tenured or tenure-track) or a senior researcher with a term or contract position of no less than three years from outside of the Lead and Involved facultieswho hassignificant research affiliation (either current or planned) with the Centre鈥檚 thematic areas.

Postdoctoral Scholar/Research Associate Member

Open to research trainees (i.e. postdocs) and/or researchers working directly under the supervision of a faculty member on a project related to the Centre鈥檚 thematic areas. The supervisor must be an active member of the Centre.

Graduate Student Member

Open to registered graduate students with major or significant research affiliation with the Centre; the supervisor must be an active member of the Centre.

Brace Membership Benefits

Members of the Centre will have access to the following benefits:

Funding opportunities in the form of seed grants, student scholarships and travel grants

Administrative support to organize Centre-sponsored programs and initiatives such as teaching or research workshops and seminars

Promotion of research through the Centre鈥檚 network via social media (LinkedIn, etc.), the Centre鈥檚 website and newsletters
