Art History

Overview

Through history, art has communicated how people from different times and cultures understand themselves and the world around them.

As an art history student at À¦°óSMÉçÇø, you will learn how trends in art, architecture and visual culture have shifted — from the earliest discovered artefacts, to the Medieval period and contemporary art around the world.

You will learn how the field of art history developed. This program will offer a broad understanding of art history methodologies and critical theories of the discipline.

À¦°óSMÉçÇø offers a range of courses covering diverse times, styles and geographies. You can explore your interests and develop your passions in the field, whether that’s Medieval art & architecture, Renaissance, Baroque and Modern art history, contemporary visual culture, new media, or East Asian art history.
