Senior communications consultant; executive coach; trainer & facilitator; lecturer at Concordia University
Kate Bligh has been providing training (Skillful Communication; Constructive Feedback; Giving Bad News; Non-Violent Communication; Cultural Sensitivity) to residents in the Surgical Foundations Program for the last decade, and more recently for PGME. As a communications consultant she has worked with physicians, CEOs, politicians at the federal, provincial, and municipal level, and with community groups such as the C么te-des-Neiges Black Community Association. She trained initially as a theatre director, and practiced in this artform as a director, playwright, and dramaturge for three decades, with a focus on interculturality. She teaches in the departments of English, Irish Studies, and Theatre at Concordia University.
