Fran莽ais langue 茅trang猫re : A comprehensive introduction to basic vocabulary, grammatical structures and speech patterns of written and oral French for students in any degree program having no previous knowledge of French. Learning to communicate at a functional level in a French-speaking environment. Short essays, cultural readings, mandatory lab practice.

Prerequisite: Placement test
Language laboratory and oral practice with a French monitor if available.
Placement test. No knowledge of French.
Restriction: Not open to students who have taken FRSL 101D1/D2, FRSL 103, FRSL 104, or FRSL 105.
