Summer 2021 Update: Recruitment Launch for the Strengths-Based Nursing and Healthcare Leadership Program

The research study “Transforming Nurses’ Work Environments Through a Strengths-Based Leadership and Management Training Program” has launched recruitment for the first cohort of the innovative SBNH Leadership Program.

Recruitment has launched for the first cohort of the online Strengths-Based Nursing and Healthcare Leadership (SBNH-L) Program! Nurse leaders and managers from five hospitals in Toronto and Montreal will be invited to participate in this training program, part of the research study “Transforming Nurses’ Work Environments Through a Strengths-Based Leadership and Management Training Program”.

Presenting twelve unique learning modules and using an innovative story-sharing approach, experienced nurse leaders, educators, and researchers will guide participants to reflect on and build their own capacity as Strengths-Based leaders. They will develop the skills to create equitable, culturally safe workplace cultures and environments that honour, develop, mobilize, and capitalize on the strengths of individuals and their teams. Learning alongside leaders and managers from other institutions, each participant will benefit from unique community-building, networking, and mentorship opportunities.

This online program includes six days of training and six months of individual mentorship. The first cohort will run from September 2021 to February 2022.
