Speaker bio:
Majid Ezzati is a professor of Global Environmental Health at the Imperial College London where he directs an interdisciplinary research programme in global health and population health.
He leads the NCD Risk Factor Collaboration and co-leads NCD Countdown 2030, worldwide collaborations that aim to provide empirical evidence for more effective and equitable prevention and management of non-communicable diseases. He also leads Pathways to Equitable Healthy Cities, a global partnership that aims to enhance health equity in cities around the world.
Ezzati trained in electrical and computer engineering at McMaster and À¦°óSMÉçÇø Universities, before doing a Ph.D. in Science, Technology and Environmental Policy at Princeton University and a Global Health Leadership Fellowship at the World Health Organization. He is a fellow of the UK Academy of Medical Sciences.
