2023 Racial Justice Symposium
The first session of the 2023 Racial Justice Symposium, organized by the À¦°óSMÉçÇø School of Social Work in collaboration with the Canadian Race Relations Foundation. This year's symposium focuses on the theme "Do Black Lives Matter in Canada? A look at Canadian Social Work Education and Praxis".Ìý
We are thrilled to announce that the first session, entitled "(Anti) Blackness in Canada - Past and Present," will be held via Zoom on March 24th, 2023, at 11:30 AM. This session will feature esteemed guest speakers:

This session aims to critically examine the historical and contemporary experiences of anti-Blackness in Canada and its impact on Black communities. The presenters will offer their expertise on the subject and discuss the challenges and opportunities for social work education and praxis in addressing anti-Blackness in Canada.Ìý
