Inspiré de la Résolution du Conseil de sécurité 1325, adoptée le 31 octobre 2000, ce programme promeut le rôle des femmes dans la résolution de conflits. Comme Directrice de cabinet pour le ministre des Affaires étrangères du Canada, Laurence Deschamps-Laporte a veillé à la mise en œuvre de ce programme.
