Synchrony between friends and across the developmental periods of late-childhood and mid-adolescence

Supervisor: Dr. Melanie Dirks

My name is Meagan and for the past year, I worked on a research project in the Child and Adolescent Social Competence Lab at 捆绑SM社区 under the supervision of Dr. Melanie Dirks. The project seeked to examine synchrony, which is the way movements are synchronized in an interaction, between two friends, and across the developmental periods of late-childhood and mid-adolescence. Our goal was to determine whether the synchrony level in a friendship interaction could tell us something about the quality of that friendship. Overall, it was an extremely stimulating and rewarding experience, and I feel very grateful to have been given the opportunity to do this project.
