Type: Construction / Status: Scope

罢丑别听Principles for Designing Teaching and Learning Spaces聽聽reimagine the classroom environment by leveraging insights into how students learn best. These principles are transformed into innovative design features, ensuring that learning spaces embody the university鈥檚 forward-thinking vision for education. This approach turns physical spaces into dynamic, interactive environments that inspire and enhance the learning experience.

Project Description:

Renovation of classroom 1041.

Project Scope:

A TLS project for the renovate classroom 1041, modern and flexible with multiple configurations.
The space and occupancy number are yet to be confirmed after pre-design. Might also include classroom 1045, 1036, 1039 and 1042. According to the occupancy study, the addition of a universally accessible washroom on the 10th floor is a pre-requisite for ANY renovation work to happen on this floor.聽

No two lots will be longer required. No big classroom will be pursued under this project anymore. A pre-study of all SCS's occupied floors was also included, in order find the space for the largest possible classrooms (beyond 40, ideally 80/100 capacity) somewhere within the floors of School of Continuous Studies. SCS decided not to pursue that classroom for the moment.

Originally, the scope was to combine two classrooms into one active learning classroom for 60 students with partition dividers to 2 smaller cohorts of 30 students. Due to floor capacity issues, it was put on hold in July 2022, until the new scope definition on Dec 2022.
